Milky Cap. The Milky Way over a "capped" Mt. Rainier. The Pacific Northwest has been blessed with remarkably good weather this summer (2013) affording clear skies for photographing the heavens. One need "only" choose a moonless night and trek away from the cities to maximize results. Even with all that effort though, light pollution from the cities seems inevitable. In this case, however, it adds a warm glow to the shot that I like. The "cap" is a Lenticular Cloud.
